Water-Saving Design

Dual-Mode Cooling Operation
The adiabatic cooler intelligently switches between two operating modes based on real-time ambient dry-bulb temperature, maximising efficiency and minimising water use throughout the year.
Ambient Temperature Monitoring
Sensors continuously measure ambient dry-bulb temperature. When temperature is below the setpoint (typically 25-28°C), the unit operates in fully dry mode -- fans only, zero water consumption.
Adiabatic Pre-Cooling Activation
When ambient temperature exceeds the setpoint, the PLC activates the adiabatic pad wetting system. Water is distributed evenly over evaporative media pads positioned upstream of the coil.
Evaporative Air Pre-Cooling
Water evaporates from the pads, absorbing latent heat from the incoming air stream. Inlet air temperature is reduced by 4-8°C before reaching the finned coil surface.
Enhanced Heat Rejection
Pre-cooled air flows across the aluminium-fin coil, dramatically improving heat transfer. Process fluid outlet temperature meets design targets even during peak summer conditions.
